A Permanent Solution for Tooth Loss

Dental Implants: The Better Alternative

If you are missing one or more teeth, or know you’ll need a tooth extracted, you’re probably aware that dental bridges and removable dentures are viable options. In the past, these were your only options, but today you can choose the better alternative: dental implants! The only permanent solution for tooth loss, dental implants keep your existing teeth healthy and whole, while providing a non-removable and functional new tooth or set of teeth permanently fixed in your natural jawbone. Imagine dental implants being real teeth, just built from biocompatible titanium and porcelain materials. That’s how closely they mimic the function, look, and feel of healthy, natural teeth!

Dental implants require treatment from a trained specialist to ensure they last long-term and look attractive alongside existing teeth. Through our long-standing partnership with an experienced periodontist (an expert in dental implants), we can provide this high-quality care needed to ensure the success of your treatment. While our periodontist places your dental implants in Cliffside Park, NJ, our skilled cosmetic dentists, Drs. Ahmad and Atusa Sedehi, will custom design your new tooth or teeth. With this collaborative approach, we can provide complete treatment right in the comfort of our own office. We encourage you to read more about the benefits of dental implants and what to expect receiving care from our team!

New Teeth in Three Phases

Phase 1: Consultation

You’ll start your dental implant treatment with a consultation. During this appointment, we’ll discuss your smile goals and how dental implants can help. We’ll also complete an evaluation and any diagnostics we’ll need to plan your surgery. Generally, we will be able to attach a temporary dental crown or bridge the same day our periodontist places your dental implant(s).

Phase 2:
Surgery

Our partnering periodontist will come to our office on the day of your surgery to place your dental implant(s). Because of the level of training and specialization, this procedure is efficient and provides the ideal position for optimizing the final function and aesthetics of your tooth. This surgical appointment may also include tooth extractions and/or bone or soft tissue grafts to ensure the long-term success of your new smile. Our periodontist specializes in these procedures as well.

Phase 3: Restoration

You’ll need to heal for a few months after your surgery. During this time, your dental implant will fuse to your natural bone and your gum tissue will heal over the post or around the temporary. When this phase is complete, you’ll return to our office to have your final dental crown or bridge attached. This restoration is fabricated from porcelain material and color-matched to look completely natural. You’ll be able to use this tooth like normal and won’t be able to distinguish it from the rest of your smile.

Permanent Teeth You Can Afford

Many patients are hesitant to choose dental implants because they cost more than dental bridges or removable dentures. However, dental implants are the only permanent option, with the potential to last for decades.
